How to make a difference

Finding and maintaining peace is a great gift you can give those around you and the world at large. Others in your presence can share in that peace just like you share in the warmth of the sun that shines on you.

Remember when you were children and a neighbor turned on the sprinklers on a hot summer day, all of you kids could get some refreshing coolness from the water going everywhere.

When you are at peace, you give out waves of a wonderful vibration that has a balancing effect on those around you just as the water has a refreshing effect on the children jumping around in it. Being at peace , being centered in spirit feels like an oasis. Being in turmoil,  angry, overcome with worry and grief feels like being trapped in bad weather. Who wants to step outside when there in a storm? Don’t we all naturally just prefer to stay in a safe and dry place?

We are drawn to what is most comfortable and makes us feel at ease. We feel repelled by what causes un-ease or dis-ease. Look at nature, how peaceful and balanced it is. You are part of
nature: your own cells prefer that peaceful and natural state of balance, they don’t like to go into dis-ease, into a state of illness.
So what can you do to maintain peace within? Breathe deeply, take time daily to meditate,  listen to nice music, enjoy good company, read good books, watch inspirational movies. Stay away from doomsayers and drama. Clear your negative trapped emotions, let go of what weighs you down and causes you pain and suffering. Let go of what no longer serves you! Take time to do this work that is like spring cleaning for your soul! When faced with negativity or another’s burden, learn to release it, learn to process it so that you can regain your peace within. Many watch their diet carefully, choosing organic foods and clean water. Do the same with the energy: retain the good, let go of what is not good for you. Be attentive and vigilant on the energy front too, not just with external things.

Trust that all is well. Trust that no matter how hopeless the situation, a solution will come. It will come just as surely as the spring comes after a harsh winter. That unwavering trust will give you strength. It will give you a vision of hope that is like an eternal spring within your heart. Don’t they say that hope strings eternal?

Many of you wonder what they can do to change the world. Nurturing and maintaining your internal peace, nurturing and maintaining a vision of hope and trust will make your spirit emanate waves of wellness all around you. Those waves will eventually encircle the globe. Those waves are not visible to the human eye, just as radio or satellite waves are not visible either but you know they exist as you enjoy their benefits daily. It is all energy and energy makes a big difference: every thought, every wish, every prayer said in silence, every word spoken..all give out a certain wave of light, a beautiful light that will brighten the tapestry of this world.
So  shine your light, emit your warm and nurturing light, be a star of light. Keep on shining and through your warmth and your light, combined with the warmth and the light of all other around you who do the same, the world is enlightened. This is the way, dear ones, to make a difference!

“Someday, after mastering winds, waves, tides and gravity, we shall harness the energy of love; and for the second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.”~Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

This is true. We want our hearts to be at peace and negative emotions cause a lot of havoc. I don’t like to be around people who express such negative emotions, blaming others and not seeing that their own behavior is causing them to be sick. When your around a peaceful person you feel the good vibrations. We are spiritual beings in a physical body and we pick up other peoples vibrations. When someone approaches you, your mind can sense if they are a good person or not. Depending on what is going on within them, for it is being expressed outside of themselves. We learn so much from the beauty of creation. Thank you Doris I was inspired by your words.
